The Challenge

Millions of girls in developing countries like Zimbabwe miss up to 20% of the school year, or drop out completely, simply because they can’t afford menstrual hygiene products.

Accidents, and the embarrassment this causes, often results in them missing school. This has huge consequences on their education and the rest of their lives.

Plan trains school representatives and community health clubs to debunk myths and taboos around menstruation and teach girls to make their own sanitary pads.
